Canine Physio
I am dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of your dogs, cats and other pets. Through treating the animal in your own home it allows your pets to feel relaxed in their environment and allows us to get the best out of every session. As a certified Veterinary Physiotherapist, I am able to provide personalised therapeutic care for each animal ensuring that the unique needs of each dog and animal is met.

What we offer:
During an initial assessment a history of the animal including lifestyle, exercise and any injuries will be taken.
Following this, an assessment of how the animal moves and palpation of their body will take place. From here I will create a personalised treatment plan from findings and begin treatment.

My treatments may include hands on massage, use of electrotherapies including TENS, NMES and PMFT which can be beneficial for reducing joint and musculature pain. As well as individual exercise programmes with the goals to meet each dog's needs.

The Canine Physiotherapy I provide can be beneficial for animals who are recovering post surgery and animals with injuries that are being managed conservatively. Additionally, arthritis in ageing animals especially dogs and cats is very common and can be painful or reduce an animal's quality of life. Through treatments I will aim to reduce pain, improve joint range of motion, help maintain and improve movement and create exercise plans to encourage use of muscles to protect the joints. Hands on treatments are also ideal for sporting animals who commonly suffer from muscle soreness or tightness from exercising.
PMFT
Using electromagnetic fields to produce a current. This electrotherapy can be used to aid tissue repair, reduce inflammation and provide pain relief.
MASSAGE
This therapy uses different pressures and techniques to help improve muscle flexibility, alleviate pain, improve circulation and relive tension.
EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION
Personalised exercises for your animal to do at home between physiotherapy sessions. This may include stretching, muscle strengthening/maintaining and techniques to improve joint range of motion.
MOBILISATION
This manual therapy aims to restore normal joint movement and alleviate adhesions or restrictions using controlled passive movements to a joint.
